The Ambassador of Côte d’Ivoire to Ghana, Togo and Benin, H.E. Assiélou Félix Tanon, has extended warm congratulations to Ghana as the nation marks the 69th anniversary of its independence.

In an official statement issued in Accra on Friday March 6, the Ambassador conveyed greetings on behalf of H.E. Alassane Ouattara, President of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire, and affirmed the admiration of the Ivorian government for Ghana’s steady progress since attaining nationhood.

He described Ghana’s development journey as “remarkable,” noting that the country has evolved into a prosperous and stable nation, widely regarded across the sub‑region and internationally as a model of democracy.

Ambassador Tanon further highlighted the excellent relations of friendship and fraternity that continued to exist between Côte d’Ivoire and Ghana, stressing the commitment of both nations to deepening cooperation for the mutual benefit of their peoples.

“Happy Independence Day! Long live Ghana, long live Côte d’Ivoire, and long live Ivorian Ghanaian cooperation,” the message concluded.
