Veteran coach Joseph Emmanuel Sarpong has said that he would resign if he were Kwesi Appiah following the Black Stars disappointing showing at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.
In an interview with Joy Sports, Sarpong said: “We have individual differences, I have mine and you have yours but if I were Kwesi Appiah, I will apologize to Ghanaians and then leave the scene.”

Appiah has come under a barrage of attacks after the Black Stars suffered their worst Afcon campaign in over a decade in Egypt.
Black Stars, who had reached the semi-finals of the last six tournaments, crashed out at the 1/16th stage as they lost to Tunisia.
The Carthage Eagles eliminated Appiah's men 5-4 on penalties and went on to finish fourth.
Before the tournament, Appiah's contract was extended but with a clause that he will be sacked if Ghana fails to win the trophy.
His current deal will expire in December.
“Contractual agreement can also force Kwesi to stay on because if he decides to leave he will have pay back some money. So if you sack him, you have to pay him some compensation, so that’s why perhaps Kwesi is still at post,” he added.
Appiah is in his second stint as Black Stars coach as he was reappointed in 2017.
His first stint ended in 2014 after Ghana failed to qualify from group stages at the World Cup in Brazil.
