Former Ebusua Dwarfs coach, J.E Sarpong believes the main characteristics to survive as a coach is to have a strong heart and good listening ears.
Sarpong brought Dwarfs to the Premiership this season after just a year in the second division but was sacked after a poor start to the season.
The experienced trainer who has coached many clubs in the country believes these two strong characteristics cannot be done with as a coach.
“Some coaches even die under pressure especially when you have high blood pressure,” he told Asempa Sports.
“Pressure are attributed to so many circumstances, supporters are very important and have a great relationship with the team, and so you don't discard the supporters.”
“The supporters will criticize you when you lose and are the same people to praise you when you win."
"As a coach, you have to have a strong heart and a listening ears so that you can assess some of their grievances.”
“It is up to the coach to analyze the situation and implement what is good for the club and best fit for the technical game plan for each game."
Sarpong is now without a club.
