Ghana striker John Antwi says he must step up his game for his club side Al Ahly after scoring a brace in their 3-2 defeat to Zambian side Zesco United in Saturday’s African Champions League quarter-final group opener.
Antwi’s brace was not enough to help his side secure a point in their opener as they succumbed to Zesco.
The 23-year-old who arrived at Ahly before this season from Saudi Arabia’s Al Shabab Riyadh says he must do more to help the side in the competition.
“We had a good game though we lost, the Zesco team was very strong,” he told Joy Sports
“I scored two goals and for me it was a collective effort so i will attribute it to the hardwork of my teammates.
“Now i have to work hard and get in more goals to help the side in the competition.”
