English-born defender of Ghanaian descent, Josh Acheampong, is set to sign a new long-term deal at Chelsea.
The 18-year-old will pen a new deal that will see him stay at the club until June 2029 with the club also offering him improved conditions.
Acheanmpong's future at the club had been uncertain over the past few months after talks between the club and the player's entourage at a standstill.
The right-back was frozen out at the club until recent times when talks grew position and was handed a start in Chelsea's Conference League victory over Asatana.
The latest development now shows the player will commit his long-term future to the club and sign a new deal. His previous contract was expected to expire in June next year.
Reports in England had suggested Real Madrid were part of clubs who were monitoring the situation of the youngster.
Acheampong has represented Chelsea at youth level but is yet to play for the senior national team. He is also eligible to play for Ghana if the Football Association decide to move for him.
