Chartered Management Accountant, Albert Nii Ayi Tagoe, is urging entrepreneurs and business owners to create business plans in ways that would make an impact in society in order to qualify for grants provided by some financiers.
According to him, it is necessary for business owners to develop plans for the execution and management of the grants to demonstrate their commitment to achieving the intended aim of the grants.
Speaking on Joy Business MasterClass show, Albert Nii Ayi Tagoe said organisations can acquire grants once their businesses are seen to be making an impact in society.
He was speaking on the topic “Understanding how to seek funding from investors and grant financing”.
At a time when many entrepreneurs are lamenting the high cost of doing business and lack of adequate capital to continue their operations, the Chartered Management Accountant grant can be secured from local and international organisations but that requires a comprehensive business plan.
“You can get grant financing from local and international organisations. But there is also the case where you have to carve your business in areas that are making an impact and look for financiers who are providing grants to support in areas that you are making the impact, like climate change”, he mentioned.
He urged organisations to take critical steps in understanding the grant management lifecycle to enable them to prepare a good grant management programme with the right objectives in order to be able to acquire the grant.
He also urged businesses to take advantage of the many grants provided by some public and private entities in order to grow and sustain their ventures into viable businesses.
