The 2024 Prayer Summit for Peace organised by Joy FM was held at the Victory Bible Church International (Prophetic Sanctuary Kokomleme) on November 22, 2024.
It was a moment of prayer to stand in the gap for the country for peace to prevail before, during, and after the period.
The purpose of the prayer summit was premised on Jeremiah 29:7 which entreats us to seek the peace and prosperity of the city into which God has brought us.
Led by Pastor Ato Acquah and Reverend Mike Nii Abossey, various pastors across the country took turns to engage the congregation on prayer topics geared towards the peace of the nation.
Speaking at the service, the Programmes Manager of Joy FM, Edem Knight-Tay emphasised the need to keep safeguarding the peace of the nation and not get complacent.
“Quite often we take it granted here in Ghana and say nothing will happen. Yes, this is Ghana but we also don’t want to be dismissive. We also don’t want to be too complacent so will continue to petition God and tell him that in as much as we know that nothing will happen, he should just seal it and solidify it for us,” she said.
There were also song ministrations by Gospel musicians Celestine Donkor, MOGMusic supported by the Multimedia Choir.
