Joy FM, Ghana’s leading radio station, has launched a peace campaign to create awareness for a peaceful election.
The nationwide project dubbed, “Stand for Peace Campaign”, is in collaboration with all the other companies under multi-media.
Many are those who pray for a peaceful election, but do very little or nothing at all to ensure that peace.
Joy Fm by this campaign is soliciting the support of one million Ghanaians to work assiduously towards ensuring a peaceful election.
As part of the campaign, two people from Tamale will be sponsored to Rwanda to have a first hand experience, the scar conflict has caused an otherwise peaceful nation.
Other activities will be a nationwide peace march and a date with presidential candidates who will reiterate the call for a peaceful election.
Well meaning and peace-loving citizens, will also help to educate and sensitize volatile communities, the need to live as one people, irrespective of the political, religious or ethnic affiliations of neighbours.
As the nation looks forward to witness a fifth consecutive nationwide elections to select a new president and parliamentarians to steer the affairs of the country in the next four years, all and sundry are cordially invited to come on board the ‘Stand for Peace Campaign’ to herald the crusade against violence and ensure a peaceful elections.
