Host of the Joy FM Super Morning Show, Daniel Dadzie, has joined the BBC on a two-week internship.
The Multimedia Group’s broadcast journalist who has been hosting Ghana’s most influential morning show since February 2018, is the latest to benefit from Joy FM’s partnership with the global media giant.
He told Myjoyonline.com, he expects to improve himself by learning the latest in broadcast journalism. The SMS host has been attached to Radio London Morning Show and the mid-morning Show, the Robert Elms Show.
Sharing his impressions so far, Daniel Dadzie said the radio shows and its audience are very much ingrained. “...the conversation is really with the audience rather than listened to by the audience,” he observed.
He added: “The phone-in is the pivot around which the show is held,” describing his experience so far as “a great moment.”
“Every moment you meet people who are very passionate, who are very detailed,” he said.
Daniel Dadzie was featured on BBC Focus on Africa segment where he spoke about the recent collapse of some savings and loans companies back home in Ghana.
The internship is expected to last two weeks. He resumes work in Ghana in September. Animwaa Anim-Addo has sat in for the regular host.
