Joy News editor, Evans Mensah took his turn Tuesday, at the Emile Short Commission to give testimony on how he and other journalists from the Multimedia Group covered the Ayawaso West Wuogon by-election.
The Commission is investigating the violence that characterised the by-election that was held on January 31 to elect a new Member of Parliament following the death of Kyeremanteng Agyarko.
During the polls, masked men from National Security are alleged to have assaulted Ningo-Prampram MP, Samuel George and other innocent civilians.
Evans also gave the Commission some recommendations on how to handle so-called vigilante groups and how the Ghana Police Service and other security agencies can better play their roles in ensuring the safety of Ghanaians, especially during elections.
