Jukwa Senior High School gathered 21 points to place first in the annual Central Region Zone Three Inter Schools and Colleges Cross-Country race held at the Schools and Colleges Park at Adisadel on Saturday.
The eight kilometre race attracted 30 participants.
St. Augustine’s Senior High School took the second position with 42 points followed by Mankessim Secondary Technical at the third position with 57 points, Saltpond Methodist High School came fourth with 63 points, Mfantsipim Senior High school was fifth with 70 points while University Practice Senior High School came last with 99 points.
In the Girls division, which attracted a field of 25 participants over a distance of four kilometres, Jukwa Senior High School again came first with 12 points followed by Holy Child Senior High at the second position with 32 points while Wesley Girls High School came third with 54 points.
Methodist Senior High School took the fourth position with 70 points, University Practice Senior High School, fifth with 97 points while Mankessim Senior High School came last with 100 points.
Mr Ebenezer Buaben, the Zonal Secretary commended the athletes for their show of high performance and sportsmanship during the competition.
