The Chairman of the Convention People's Party, Ladi Nylander has told Joy News that the party's National Youth Organizer, James Kwabena Bonfeh remains interdicted.He says Bonfeh, otherwise called Kabila, "cannot have his own rules" in the party and until his fate is determined by the party's Disciplinary Committee, he should not be regarded as the National Youth Organizer.According to Ladi Nylander, the Central Committee of the party took the decision to interdict Bonfeh and General Secretary Ivor Greenstreet after they were given the opportunity to respond to allegations of indiscipline.He also dismissed claims by Bonfeh that he was interdicted because of a legal suit he initiated against the government.Bonfeh had dismmised claims he had been interdicted, explaining that the party's Central Committee has no power to interdict him and the General Secretary, especially when the Disciplinary Committee of the party has not taken a decision on the matter.Kabila in his personal capacity went to the Supreme Court to seek its interpretation of the status of the controversial STX/Government of Ghana housing deal, suspecting it was unconstitutionally placed before parliament, but his action evoked several responses from members of the ruling government and his party.Greenstreet, who reacted to criticisms from members of the NDC, asked them to put its own house in order and also rein in NDC founder, Jerry Rawlings.His comment also drew a sharp rebuttal from the NDC, again, leading to his rebuke by CPP chairman, Lardi Nylander, who posited that Ivor was wrong to have issued a statement in the name of the party on private matters.The party subsequently issued a press statement at the weekend announcing the interdiction of the National Youth Organiser as well as the party's General Secretary, for indiscipline.But reacting to the claims that he has been interdicted, Kwabena Bonfeh told Asempa News the Central Committee has no locus to interdict them because the 12th August, 2010 National Executive Council meeting held only referred the matter to the Disciplinary Committee and wondered why the Central Committee will usurp the powers of the latter.Story: Nathan Gadugah and Kojo Asare Baffuor-Acheampong/ Myjoyonline.com/Asempa News
