The head coach of Kessben F/C, Anthony Adusei has said that he has identified lack of self –confidence and inexperience as the two main factors that is affecting the performance of the team in the 2008- 2009 Glo Premier League.
“Some of my players, especially the strikers seem to be goal-shy and cannot keep their composure and focus in front of the goal”, he stated.
Coach Adusei said this has resulted in a situation where the strikers squander glorious chances to the disadvantage of the team.
He was speaking with the GNA Sports in a post-match interview soon after his side drew 0-0 with King Faisal Babies in their sixth week encounter at the Anane Boateng Stadium at Abrankese near Kumasi on Sunday.
Kessben are on the 12th position on the League table with five points but the technical team believes the Club was capable of improving on the situation through hard work.
Coach Adusei said that as an example his side could have snatched the three maximum points at stake in their match against Faisal if the attackers had converted the numerous and clear-cut chances that came their way.
He told the GNA Sports that the technical team has drawn up a comprehensive programme to build the capacity and skills of the attackers in scoring goals in subsequent matches and called on the supporters to rally solidly behind the team.
