The Ketu District Assembly has issued a final warning to people’s whose structures have been marked for destruction to remove them now or incure the wrath of the assembly soon.
A letter signed by Mr Justice Cudjoe, the District Chief Executive, set June 15 as the deadline for the removal after which the assembly would demolish them and the owners surcharged with the cost of demolishing.
Areas affected include the GPRTU Bus Terminal and the border areas.
Mr Cudjoe said the demolition was to pave way for a major face-lift at the bus terminal and restore it to its original size for the comfort of both drivers and commuters.
"Criminals are enjoying field days due to the congestion and are harassing the travelling public and innocent citizens particularly at night and we need to create adequate safety for all," Mr Cudjoe said.
