Award-winning Ghanaian music sensation, King Promise, last Sunday sold out the famous Scala live event centre in London.
King Promise had previously sold out two other events in Berlin and Hamburg all in Germany, reports the Business and Financial Times newspaper.
Scala now plays host to many eclectic club nights and has featured live music acts including Jon Boden, The Midnight, Smoke Fairies, Shed Seven, The Libertines, Deftones, Slaves, Outlandish, London Elektricity, Coldplay, Tash Sultana, Foo Fighters, The Killers, Gorillaz, Big Talk, Moby, HIM, Wheatus, Adam Ant, Sheryl Crow, and Sara Bareilles.
Other big names include Gavin DeGraw, Ray LaMontagne, Trampled by Turtles, Doomtree, Super Furry Animals, The Chemical Brothers, Avril Lavigne, Enslaved, Gorgoroth, Lacuna Coil, Maroon 5, The Script, Melanie C, KLOQ, Gabrielle Aplin, Bastille, Wolf Alice, JAWS, Kaiser Chiefs, Jedi Mind Tricks, P!nk, Louis Tomlinson and The Iterations.
According to the organisers, the event was attended by almost 1,500 patrons.
The ‘Tokyo’ hitmaker was supported on the night by Ziezie, Eugy official, Kojo Funds, NSG, Kwamz and Flavour, Br3nya, Mr Eazi, Quamina MP, Big Shaq and Priscilla (Love Island). The show was hosted by Comedian Eddy Kadi and Adesope (ShopsyDoo).
