English-born Ghanaian, Kobbie Mainoo, made his maiden appearance for England over the weekend in their friendly game against Brazil.
The Manchester United midfielder came off the bench for the last 15 minutes as the Three Lions suffered a third defeat at Wembley to Brazil.
Mainoo, who had impressed immensely for the Red Devils this season, was given a call-up to the national team by Gareth Southgate for the March friendlies.
The 18-year-old replaced Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher and left an impression on many during his brief cameo.
Real Madrid-bound Endrick scored the only goal of the game to seal the win for the South Americans.
His performance drew praise from the England boss after the game.
Speaking following the game Southgate was full of praise for the Man United academy graduate: "Kobbie was a chance to dip his toes.
"We needed to refresh some of the team because we’ve got to manage their minutes a little bit, so that’s a strange situation when it’s a game of that size but that’s where we are.
"To get Kobbie on the pitch was a brilliant moment for him & his family. You saw a couple of turns & a couple of really composed moments that is a bit of an indication of what he might become."
Despite playing for England, Mainoo is still eligible to play for Ghana. However, a competitive appearance for the Three Lions will end any hopes of the UK-based midfielder playing for the Black Stars.
