The Ghanaian theatre scene has been bustling with a lot of plays recently. Heralding the Easter season is Kobina Ansah's latest original musical, The Saint In The Devil's Shoes.
The heart-pounding one-man play is set to be staged this Friday and Saturday at National Theatre. Themed on the rippling effects of corruption, one character will mirror society in a spellbinding story set in an abandoned home.
"I wrote 11 songs for this play. I took this story from an unusual perspective and I hope all Ghanaians come to see it," intimated the playwright.
Kobina Ansah is known for writing and directing hard-hitting plays such as I Want To Sue God!, In The Pants Of A Woman, and Once Upon A Riddle among others. His plays touch on pertinent social issues.
The Saint In The Devil's Shoes stages on Friday, April 18th and Saturday, 19th at National Theatre. Showing times are 3pm and 7pm each day.
