Adom FM and Adom TV's Kofi Adoma Nwanwani has been named Nana Nkratuorhene I (King of Communication) by the Brong Ahafo Students Union (BASU) for his immense contribution to education and development in the region.
This was at this year's version of grand annual ceremony in Accra, organized by BASU to honor illustrious sons and daughters of the region for their immense contribution to development, business, education and other areas.
Kofi Adoma was one of 20 people rewarded this year, and his award came with a citation that partially read "hard work, commitment and dedication need commendation. The BASU has recognized your effort in projecting the image of the region in your field of work. We hereby confer on you Nana Nkratuohene..."
They also charged him to continuously show a high sense of discipline in his work and bring himself and the region more glory.
Kofi Adoma is a teacher by training but has spent almost all of his professional life in the media, starting years back from Shalom Radio at Berekum in his home region, through Volta Star Radio (GBC Ho), Fox FM in Kumasi then to Hot FM in Accra before he finally joined Adom FM.
He is now a lead news anchor on Adom FM 6pm news, and News Editor/Producer of Adom Kasee on Adom TV.
Kofi Adoma is also the host of one of the most viewed TV talk shows in the country, Pampaso. He is also a standby host of Adom FM's morning show, Dwaso Nsem.
In an interview with Adom News, Kofi Adoma expressed joy for the kind gesture shown to him by BASU.
He said "God and humility have been my pillar all these years and I promise to keep up the good work and continue making the people of Brong Ahafo and Ghana proud."
Meanwhile, other indigenes of the region celebrated at the ceremony include Dormaamanhene Nana Agyeman Badu II, Godwin Attah Andoh, MD of Ark FM, and Dr Sarah Mensah, Former PNDC Regional Secretary for B/A among others.
