Captain Prince Kofi Amoabeng (Rtd.), a respected businessman and former Military officer will be speaking at the 8th edition of the ‘What I Wish I Knew’ (WIWIK) Conference slated for Friday, September 23, 2022, at the University of Cape Coast Auditorium 900.
Under the theme, ‘Re-Envisioning: Looking Ahead to Emerging Opportunities’, participants are expected to walk away from the conference with practical and actionable recommendations on how to identify and unlock emerging opportunities.
The annual conference, now in its eight year, is one of the biggest personal development conferences on university campuses. This conference seeks to educate, advice and inspire final year undergraduate students.

Panellists for the evening include Prof. J. D Owusu-Sekyere (Vice Chancellor, Cape Coast
Technical University), Stephen Essien (Group Customer Experience Director, D. Light Africa), Franka Maria Andoh (CEO, Jossle's Cuppa Cappuccino), Dr. Stephen Osei Tutu (Cluster Manager, Calbank Ltd) and Myrah Caesar (CEO, PropelED), Doris Ahiati (CEO, Crescendo Consult).
The conference will host a fireside chat with Captain Prince Kofi Amoabeng (Rtd.) and will be moderated by Kafui Dey. Mr. Amoabeng will touch on his entrepreneurship journey and share his general thoughts on the theme.
Touching on the theme for this year, Bernard Tawiah, the convener said that “There is no doubt that our world has been disrupted greatly in recent times. However, this time of disruption is also a time of opportunity. By looking ahead through a new, transformative lens, individuals can reframe their future, and this is what we intend to achieve with WIWIK 2022’’.
Petra Aba Asamoah; Head of Sales & Marketing – Akosombo Textiles; will deliver the keynote address. In her keynote address, Petra will share her thoughts on the theme and highlight some of the emerging opportunities our participants can take advantage of.
In collaboration with Crescendo Consult, a one-day leadership and capacity building workshop will be held for student leaders and volunteers on September 24, a day after the main conference. The WIWIK Conference is organized by Apex Human Consult (a Non-For Profit Organisation) in partnership with the UCC SRC, and the 2022 edition is sponsored by Akosombo Textiles, Bolt, Ravens Consulting Gh, PropelED, Benchmark Executive Business School, Calbank, Ghanaian German Centre for Jobs, Migration and Reintegration which is commissioned by BMZ and implemented by GIZ Ghana.
