Fast-rising Ghanaian artiste Kojo RYCHY has teamed up with rapper Ypee on a new single titled ‘REPORT’, a powerful track he describes as a personal testimony of resilience, belief and unexpected support.
The Kumasi-based musician, who began his journey from Ejisu Kwaso, said his passion for music became serious after he and his senior high school band placed fourth in a major inter-school competition.
“That competition changed everything for me. Right after that, I started writing my own songs and taking music seriously,” he said.

Like many emerging artistes, Kojo RYCHY admitted that his path has been far from easy. Financing his craft and connecting with the right people to advance his career were among his biggest challenges.
His turning point came when his current management team discovered him and chose to invest in his talent.

“My management believed in my talent and we took it up from there. They see my talent as a priority and they are doing everything possible to get me to the highest level in my music career,” he explained.
The experience inspired ‘REPORT’, which he said draws from both personal and spiritual encounters. According to him, the song reflects how a stranger — who later became his manager — stepped in at a crucial moment and provided the support he needed.
“The inspiration is about how I met a stranger who is now my manager. He did not know me from anywhere but he believed in me and gave me the push I needed. The message is that we should stay positive no matter what,” Kojo RYCHY stated.
Describing the single, he noted that it carries an aggressive yet emotional tone, paired with a relatable message for listeners navigating their own struggles.
The collaboration with Ypee came unexpectedly during a TikTok Live session where Kojo RYCHY was freestyling. Impressed by his talent, the rapper promised him a verse and later fulfilled that promise after the song was produced by Briandom Beatz.
“For him to support me with a free verse, I truly appreciate what he did,” he said.
Kojo RYCHY indicated that the response to his recent releases has been encouraging, with growing public recognition.
“The response has been massive. I am being recognised more when I step out in town,” he shared.
He believes ‘REPORT’ marks the beginning of a new chapter in his career and hinted at bigger projects ahead, including plans to release an album in the near future.
For now, the artiste says fans should expect more quality music and impactful collaborations in the coming months as he continues to build momentum in the industry.
