Director of Communications at the Presidency, Koku Anyidoho has predicted a one-touch victory for President Mills in the 2012 elections.According to him, considering the President’s sterling performance in just two years in office, Ghanaians will retain him to continue his Better Ghana Agenda.Speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme Monday, Koku Anyidoho said the President will score no less than 75 per cent of total votes if Ghanaians are to vote on the achievements of the Mills administration in just two years.President Mills is currently touring the three norther regions of Ghana - Northern, Upper East and Upper West, and Koku explained that the objective of the tour is to commission completed projects and also inspect ongoing projects.Contrary to criticisms that the President was only cutting the sod to start a number of projects which will never be completed, Koku Anyidoho said “some sod are being cut but they are being cut for specific purposes…funds are available for those projects”.Mr. Anyidoho observed that President Mills at Jirapa inspected projects at the Saint Francis Girls Senior High School and then to the Lawra District to commission the Health Assistants Training School which has given hope and opportunity to the young women in the town who were considering looking for greener pasture in Accra. He said President Mills commended the chiefs and people of the Upper East and Upper West regions for maintaining relative peace in the area.He revealed that, the Bawku Naba gave President Mills the title “Chief of Peace” in appreciation of his (Mills) commitment in ensuring peace in the area and the country at large.Koku Anyidoho said he was amazed at the enthusiastic and massive party supporters, who turned out to welcome President Mills and his entourage amidst drumming and jubilation at every town they visited. He added that President Mills addressed the supporters, calling on them to remain united and focused to win power in the 2012 elections.Meanwhile, Deputy Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party, (NPP), Yaw Buaben Asamoa who was a panelist on the programme said the Mills–Mahama government was only playing games with Ghanaians by making promises they cannot fulfill. He called on the President to focus on fixing the economy instead of committing it into God’s hands because “God helps those who help themselves."Story by: Adwoa Gyasiwaa/Myjoyonline.com/Ghana
