Mr. Lee Sang-hak, Korean Ambassador to Ghana on Friday paid a courtesy call on Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi.
The ambassador was accompanied by his wife.
Welcoming them, the Asantehene expressed appreciation about the
technological development going on in Korea as a third world country
and expressed hope that, with the good relations between Ghana and
Korea, Ghanaians would benefit from it.
He appealed to the ambassador to help establish a technical institute to promote employable skill training among the young artisans at the Suame Magazine in Kumasi and technological development, adding that with the good relations, Ghana would be able to tap some of their expertise.The Asantehene expressed hope the Korean government would continue with the rehabilitation programme of the Kumasi Airport and the strengthening of the south-south cooperation, among African countries to enhance effective human and material development.Ambassador Sang-hak expressed gratitude with the warm reception
accorded him and the wife and pledged to work hard to attract more
investors and projects into Kumasi to accelerate the socio-economic
development of the country.He said, he would do all he could to improve the strong bilateral socio-economic cooperation between Ghana and Korea as well as the
future assistance
