Oil exploration firm and Jubilee partner, Kosmos Energy is reported to have terminated its agreement to sell its Ghana stake to ExxonMobil.The report published by Reuters news agency however provides very little information about where, how and when the decision was taken.Country representatives of the company Joy Business have spoken to are however unable to confirm the story.Kosmos wants to sell its stake in the Jubilee Field to ExxonMobil for a consideration of 4 billion dollars, a deal sternly opposed by the Government of Ghana.Though the government in recent times appear to have softened its stance, it is yet to announce conclusions of a committee that was set up to consider a proposal put forward by ExxonMobil on how it will ensure the country benefits if it should be given the chance to take over from Kosmos.Source: Joy Business/Myjoyonline.com/Ghana
