Acting Chief Executive officer of Kumasi Asante Kotoko Opoku Nti says the decision by the club’s board of directors to hand him an extra 3 months to continue running the club is laudable.
Reports reaching Joy sports indicate that the current board led by Lawyer Paul Adu Gyamfi in their quest of not shifting focus as the league which is set to kick start this Sunday, has thought it wise to allow the ex-Kotoko player to continue his work as CEO till a substantive CEO is appointed in the coming months.
Opoku Nti, a former player of Asante Kotoko has commended the board of directors and is hoping to earn a permanent role.
“I thank the board for having confidence in me and extending my mandate handed me for three more months to see to the day to day running of Kotoko,” he told Joy sports
“I have gone through the first stage and another three months has been added.
“As for the confirmation it will come as and when the Board is pleased with my performance.”
In the league Kotoko will play their first game on Sunday against Aduana Stars .
