The traditional curtain raiser for the new season pairs Asante Kotoko against New Edubiase in the Super Cup clash.
Premier League champions, Kotoko, who have been in good form are bidding to continue their amazing run ahead of the new season when they line up against the Bekwai side, Edubiase who clinched the FA Cup at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Both sides will be giving a glimpse of their stars for the new season but with an eye on the title which will boost their confidence and give an indication of their intent.
Kotoko with lots of new signings including Richard Mpong, Rashid Sumaila, Kwabena Edusei, Issa Yakubu and Seidu Bancey will be hoping that their investments produce the form that led to their signings.
But they will be up against an Edubiase side made up of former Kotoko strikers, Samad Oppong and Stephen Manu and backed by tested performers like Asiedu Atobrah and Basit Adams.
The Super Cup is played between the premiership champion and FA Cup winner to precede the start of the football season.
