Asante Kotoko have won their 22nd Ghanaian top league title after a Prince Baffoe goal gave them a 1-0 victory over Amidaus Professionals at the Tema Stadium.
After a goalless first half, Baffoe gave the Porcupine Warriors the much needed goal in the 71st minute to seal the 2012-13 title for Kotoko and make it back-to-back titles.
Kotoko finished three points clear after close challengers, Berekum Chelsea lost 2-1 to Heart of Lions on the final day of the Glo Premier League’s campaign.
Coach Didi Dramani, making his premiership debut returns the Porcupine Warriors to the CAF Champions League after they crushed out in this season’s competition before the group stages.
As well as it being Kotoko's 22nd title overall, it was also the fifth Premier League title for the club.
At the final whistle, as Asante Kotoko’s victorious players celebrated on the pitch as they were joined by their teeming supporters.
