He is an unemployed father of five, struggling to make ends meet.

In his view, survival by any legal means possible is the way to go in the country's extremely difficult economic situation.

When Joy News TV contacted him for an interview on how he makes a living in these hard times, Mohamed Akwabei, cleverly described his strategy as "KpaKpaKpa" movement.

Since then the slogan has gone viral and some companies are now using it to advertise their goods and services.

Glo, LG, and Surfline are cashing in big on the slogan.

Hiplife musician, Guru, has also composed a hit song with the term.

A new company has even been registered in the name of "Kpakpakpa" Movement.

Mohamed Akwabei, feels taken advantage of by companies who are making money out of his slogan and yet are not paying him anything for it.

He said apart from Guru who gave him a hamper, none of the companies have given him anything.

"A lot of people are using "kpakpakpa" for their adverts, nobody has given me any penny.

"The originator of the "Kpakpakpa" is sitting down with my mother sick [and I can't take care of her]"

"Why should this happen in Ghana?" he fumed.

He wondered why he was not picked for the Glo "kpakpakpa" advert only for Van Vicker to get that role.

Given the fact that Mohamed Akwabei has not registered the slogan it is not clear whether it is legally binding on companies to pay royalties for the use of "kpakpakpa".
