Former President John Kufuor is asking for fair elections at the New Patriotic Party’s national delegates conference to elect national executives.
Speaking exclusively to Asempa News in a late night interview from his residence in Kumasi in the run-up to the national delegate’s conference, Mr. Kufuor admonished that at all cost the election must be conducted in an atmosphere of peace and tranquility and devoid of any traces of rigging.
He maintained that when that is ensured, it will foster unity in the NPP.
Former President Kufuor refuted allegations that he had a camp in the party and said as a person; he may have his preferences but does not have a faction as has widely been alleged.
