Former President John Kufour says President John Mahama’s quest for partnership with his political opponents to improve the fortunes of the nation can only be realized if his pursuit of unity is backed by action.His comment follows calls by President Mahama for the country to shun partisanship and embrace partnership in building the country.He told Adom FM on Tuesday the president must be father for all and not for only members of his party.Mr. Kufuor whose participation in President Mahama’s inaugural ceremony yesterday came under heavy criticism from some NPP supporters, also asked his party members to understand why he participated in the ceremony.He further explained that his role as ex-president required that he attended the inauguration of the president.He said the move will in the final analysis be in the interest of the party and the whole country.
