Ghana Football Association (GFA) President, Kurt Okraku, has officially been cleared to contest for a seat on the Executive Committee of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) in the upcoming elections.
Mr Okraku confirmed his candidacy in a Facebook post, revealing that he had successfully passed the integrity and eligibility test required for all candidates.
“I am delighted to share that I have been cleared to contest for a place on the Executive Committee of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) after successfully passing the integrity and edibility (eligibility) test. I am excited with what lies ahead! May God guide us through this journey,” he wrote.
The story of his decision to contest was first reported by Muftawu Nabila Abdulai on January 14, 2025.
The CAF Elective Congress, where members will decide on new Executive Committee members, is scheduled to take place on March 12, 2025, in Cairo, Egypt.
Mr Okraku’s successful bid for a position on the CAF Executive Committee is unopposed and he will be automatically elected onto the powerful decision-making body as the WAFU Zone B representative.
