An appeal has been made to financial institutions, philanthropists and companies to contribute in kind and cash towards the teacher's awards ceremony to be organised by Kwabre District Education Directorate next year.
Reverend Samuel Affainie Amankwa, District Director of Education, who made the request through GNA on Wednesday at Mamponteng, said the Directorate was committed to boosting the morale of teachers to enable them to work assiduously.
He said some individuals, companies and financial institutions had already donated cash and items towards the proposed event.
Rev. Amankwa mentioned KAS Products, which donated a cheque for GH¢500, Wadoma Royale Hotel, GH¢100 Ghana, Mr. Kofi Frimpong, Member of Parliament for Kwabre East, 500 Ghana cedis and 15 pieces of wax print, the Juaben Rural Bank, two table-top refrigerators and Sekyere Rural Bank one table-top refrigerator.
