Lawyer for hiplife artiste Kwaw Kese says Multimedia Group's reportage of the arrest and detention of his client by police for smoking cannabis in public is malicious.
Kwasi Boaitey says he would no more grant interviews to Multimedia Group and its affiliate stations, vowing to advise his client to do same.
Luv FM's Erastus Asare Donkor, who has been following the case since November, says Mr Boaitey told him the radio station's reportage has been largely detrimental to his attempts in defending his client.
"He [Mr Boaitey] says I have been reporting with malice on this particular matter", Erastus reported Tuesday.
The stern comments from Mr Boaitey come in the wake of the granting of bail to the hiplife artiste on Tuesday after several failed attempts.
The controversial rapper was arrested by the police in Kumasi on November 22, 2014, for allegedly smoking cannabis in public and was remanded in prison.
He was whisked away into a police van and sent to the Kumasi Central Prison which served as his new home until today, when the court granted him bail on health grounds.
The court presided over by Judge William Boampong granted him 80,000 Ghana cedis bail with one surety to be justified.
Kwaw Kese, born Emmanuel Botchwey, was in Kumasi at the invitation of Luv FM -- one of the Multimedia Group's radio outlets -- to perform at the annual Old Skuulz Reunion in Kumasi.
Mr Boaitey's comments suggest because the hiplife artiste was in Kumasi at the behest of Luv FM, the station could have limited certain details in its reports on the case.
He has vowed therefore to sue the Multimedia Group if any of its stations report even a cough from him or his client.
