The European Society for Quality Research (ESQR) has awarded the International Diamond Prize for Excellence in Quality 2012 to La Palm Royal Beach Hotel, a luxurious 4-star facility in Ghana.
The award was conferred on La Palm Royal Beach Hotel for its achievements in Quality management at an event in Brussels, Belgium in December. It was received on behalf of the hotel by the General Manager, Grace Quainoo.
She told myjoyonline.com: “The achievement of the Awards comes at a time when the Hotel has undergone a substantial amount of refurbishment. This comes as a recognition of the hard work of staff, and also places an added responsibility on us to work up to standards. The award is dedicated to staff.”
ESQR, an organization dedicated to quality, recognition and research, presents the International Diamond Prize for Excellence in quality to selected companies and organizations for their achievements, effort and excellence in quality management.
The 2012 event presided by ESQR's Senior Executive Advisor Mr. M. Harris brought together business leaders, quality professionals, academic experts, civil servants and diplomats from different countries, a press release issued by ESQR stated.
Fifty-four organizations and companies from 41 countries, representing sectors such as healthcare, education, oil and gas industry, aviation, pharmaceutical industry, bank and insurance, motor, food and beverage, technology, hotels, construction, engineering and public administrations, among others, received the International Diamond Prize for Excellence in Quality in recognition of their commitment and achievements in quality management.
In a related development, La Palm Royal Beach Hotel was on 25th November crowned Business Initiative Awards (B.I.D) International Quality Award (Gold Category) in the London Guoman Tower Convention Hall.
This award was conferred on the hotel for achievements in Quality and Excellence. The event was presided over by Jose E. Prieto, President and CEO of B.I.D, along with other outstanding personalities from the business world and diplomatic corps.
