The Labadi Beach Hotel, Ghana’s premier five-star hotel, has paid a dividend of GH¢16.5 million to its shareholder, the Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT).
The Hotel said the amount which was presented at their Annual General Meeting (AGM), was realised by the dividend policy rate and it underscored the commitment to attaining consistent returns and positioning itself as the leader in Ghana’s hospitality sector.
Mr David Eduaful, Managing Director, Labadi Beach Hotel, said the continuous success of paying dividends to SSNIT had been a reflection of the Hotel’s dedication and commitment to excellence whilst delivering value to their stakeholders.
He said: “Every achievement and every guest experience are a testament to the passion and hard work of our entire team. We are excited about what the future holds.”
Mr Eduaful, who won the CIMG’s Marketing Man of the Year 2023, said the unwavering support of their Board and resilience of their staff would continue to push the hotel to new heights, and redefine excellence in every aspect of their work.
The Labadi Beach Hotel paid a dividend of GH¢ 25 million to SSNIT for the year 2022, and GH¢ 10 million was also paid for the year 2021.
It has received prestigious accolades this year, including the CIMG Hospitality Facility of the Year 2023 award, Five-Star Hotel of the Year (both Regional and National), awarded by the Ghana Tourism Authority and the Hospitality Company of the Year under the auspices of Globe Productions.
Prof Douglas Boateng, Board Chairman of Labadi Beach Hotel, commended the team’s dedication, noting that “Strong corporate governance and a clear vision have been the cornerstones of Labadi Beach Hotel’s success.”
“Our ongoing achievements are proof that a focus on excellence, guided by sound governance, sets a foundation for long-term industry leadership,” he said.
He said the Hotel remained focused on strategic growth and innovation, aspiring to set new standards in hospitality while continuing to honour the trust and confidence reposed in it by shareholders, partners, and guests.
