During Kwaw Kese’s performance recently in Ho, a lady offered to go topless for the artiste and in the end exposed her breasts to the thousands who had gathered.
As if this was not enough, the rapper continued to massage the lady’s breasts with the microphone in his hands at the 'Abe Nsuo street carnival' to climax this year’s Asogli Yam Festival.
The act was condemned by many with some labeling it as an objectification of the female body.
Kwaw Kese has responded to his critics in an interview with Joy News’ Becky during the signing of his new label mate, Skonti.
According to him, there was a challenge between the men at the carnival demanding that they take off their shirts to show off their well-built body.
In the course of the challenge, the said lady opted to compete with the men and this led to the invitation of the lady onto the stage.
“I wanted my fans - the boys - to take [off] their shirts...The girls were feeling that they were being left out. So this girl who is so crazy[about me] wanted to compete with the boys, came on stage and showed the boys that she could do it more than them,” he narrated.
The 'Yakubu' hitmaker justified this act by indicating that his brand encourages crazy acts and also, his fans are ‘crazy’.
“My brand stands for madness. My brand is not for the pastor. My brand doesn’t preach at the church. We preach beautiful madness. This girl wanted to preach how beautifully mad she was,” Kwaw Kese stated.
The 'boss' of Mad Time Entertainment further disclosed that the incident in Ho could not match what happened a couple of years ago in Mepe in the North Tongu District also in the Volta Region, where some girls went totally naked.
“This was even not serious as some years back when we went to Mepe where a couple of girls decided to bare it all. Even this one you could see that the brassiere was covering somewhere,” he said.
He affirmed that anything is possible so far as he mounts the stage and performs.
Kwaw Kese celebrated his birthday on Monday October 9, the same day he signed new label artiste Skonti.
