The Lassia Tuolu SHS in the Wa West District has been temporarily closed down after fire destroyed its multipurpose dining hall complex.
The fire, which started during the wee hours of Saturday, burnt many of the newly constructed desks and dining tables.
The fire is also said to have destroyed some assorted food items belonging to the school's kitchen.

About 833 students have since been sent home while measures have been put in place to contain the situation.
Meanwhile, the Upper West Regional Coordinating Council made up of the Wa West DCE, the Regional Director of Education, and officials from the Ghana Police Service and Ghana National Fire Service, have been to the school to assess the situation.
Again, investigation has commenced into the incident.
