The body of the late Daniel Augustus Lartey, popularly called Dan Lartey, presidential candidate, founder and chairman of the Great Consolidated Popular Party (GCPP), will be laid to rest Saturday.
The 83-year-old Dan Lartey, also called Uncle Dan or Domestication, passed away on Monday December 28, at his residence in Accra after a short illness.
Henry Lartey, son of the late Dan Lartey expressed gratitude with the amount of condolence the bereave family has received so far.
Residents of Kaneshie, where he lived, are said to have come out in their numbers to observe the casket of the late Dan Lartey.
Drivers, pedestrians and other passers-by punched the air in consolation when the body of the late politician was moved through the streets of Accra.
Mr Henry Lartey said the amount of support Ghanaians have given the man shows he is “a people’s man.”
