A legal practitioner, Mr Kwame Boateng has expressed concern about threats on the life of the Chief Justice, Mrs Georgina Theodora Wood.
He said he fears for the next Chief Justice.
Mr Boateng who is a Constitutional Lawyer said the threats were dangerous and a security threat against not only against the Chief Justice but against high office holders in the country including the President.
A group calling itself Network of Social Democrats gave a fourteen-day ultimatum to Justice Wood to resign or she would be forced out.
Mr Boateng said the development was scary.
Lawyer Boateng was concerned that recent demonstrations by various youth groups against the President on his Tamale tour, against her ladyship at the premises of the Supreme Court and others were in the full glare of the Police but nothing was done about it.
He says although Ghana is encouraged to promote its young democracy, it is gradually endorsing lawlessness in the process.
He stated that Ghana may lose all its Judges if their lives are not well protected.
He has therefore challenged various stakeholders especially President Mills who is in charge of the Ghana Armed Forces to sit up against these threats to ensure that they do not continue.
