Scores of people, mainly women and children thronged the forecourt of Sikkens Ghana at the South Industrial Area in Accra to partake in the maiden edition of the Joy Business Outreach programme.
The Joy Business Outreach programme is a specialised programme targeted at empowering communities and putting smiles on the populace.
Head of Joy Business, Odelia Ntiamoah, said the gesture was to express love and compassion to the less privilege communities within the Greater Accra region.
"This year, we decided as Joy Business to send some love particularly to the less privilege brothers and sisters by offering them breakfast and others. We know that during this Christmas season, many were aspiring to eat some good food but didn’t get the opportunity”.
“Going forward, every year, we plan to do something different for the less privilege communities. In 2022, we will have a different plan but we are targeting the very less privilege in society”, she pointed out.
Mrs. Ntiamoah added that the Joy Business team will purse progarmmes that will create indelible marks in communities.

Project Lead, Sarah Ameley Djosu also described the programme as successful, urging corporate Ghana to support the less privilege in society.
"It's been overwhelming so far, but everything has been fruitful. This is what Joy Business will do to give back to society. We thank God for enabling this project."
One of the community leaders, Mohammed Salisu, expressed excitement on how his members observed the Covid-19 protocols and called for more of such programmes to bring happiness to his people.

"We are very grateful to Joy Business for coming around. We will always be grateful to them”, he added.
Vulnerable mothers were not left out of the programme as bags of rice were also given to them to cater for their homes.
Items such as drinks, rice, bread and chicken were distributed to the individuals who thronged Sikkens.
The outreach was partnered by Thakkar Oveasea, Charlieboy Enterprise, Valley View University Bread, Ghana Commodities Exchange and Sikkens.
