The Ministry of Information and National Orientation on Tuesday called on all Ghanaians to keep their surroundings clean in view of the upcoming Ghana 2008 event.
"Individuals and corporate organisations, especially those located along the principal routes of the capital, are mandated to clean up their frontages, remove all unauthorized sign post and paint their buildings by Friday 19th January 2008".
A statement signed by Mrs. Oboshie Sai-Cofie, Minister of Information and National Orientation called on all persons who keep livestock in the Accra metropolis without permission to put a stop to it with immediate effect since it was against the by-laws of the Accra Metropolitan Assembly.
The statement also encouraged all Ghanaians to refrain from unproductive attitude that could mar the occasion and also inculcate the spirit of patriotic by hoisting the National Flag high at all times and also believing in the ability of the Black Stars to win the trophy.
"We should be proud to be Ghanaians, help to portray the beauty of our country and maintain its good image by keeping in line with rules and regulations as our country hosts this important event".GNA
