We greet you all in the dear name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
We of African Enterprise – Ghana Office, were shocked and trembled when the news of the death of His Excellency Prof. J. E. F. Atta Mills reached us through the media on Tuesday, 24th July, 2012. We were taken aback, just as others have expressed, since no one expected this to happen now, though we know that all will go that journey one day.
On behalf of the founder of African Enterprise, Michael Cassidy (South Africa), the Ghana Board of Directors and Staff, we wish to extend our condolences to the family of late Prof J. E. F. Atta Mills (former President of Ghana), especially, his surviving wife, Mrs. Naadu Mills.
We again extend our condolences to His Excellency John D. Mahama our current President and the NDC party as a whole.
As a Christian organisation we remember the late President as a God fearing, humble, peaceful and a non vengeance person.
He was also diligent in his work and had very good intentions for the development of Ghana and the entire continent of Africa. We recall a statement he used to make, especially, when he stood on international platforms that, no one deserved to be president if he did not have the wellbeing of their people and the growth of their nations at heart. With respect to Africa, he thought the development of the continent had delayed and that its leaders were to remove all barriers and work fast to realise a developed and a prosperous continent, which he thought was achievable.
We hope that as a Christian, he is already in the bosom of the Lord. May he continue to enjoy the Lord whom he served very well in all circumstances.
We also extend our congratulations to the new President of the Republic of Ghana and pray that the Lord would grant him all the needed wisdom and guidance to steer the affairs of this nation smoothly.
Yours faithfully,
Original Signed
Rev. Samuel Osei Asante
