Lindsay Lohan observers might've had flashbacks to 2007 on Wednesday when news spread that the actress had been in an alleged "hit and run."
But a rep for the 25-year-old tells CNN that her car didn't hit anything, and Lohan herself has called the allegations "a complete lie."
Earlier, TMZ reported that Lindsay had been exiting a Hollywood venue in her Porsche after midnight on Wednesday when she was blocked in by paparazzi and onlookers.
The report says that as she was attempting to exit the parking lot, Lohan allegedly "grazed" the knee of the manager of a nearby hookah lounge, but Lohan denies it in a tweet.
"Scrape? This is all a complete lie. I've been at community service," she begins. "Last night, I attempted to wish a friend happy birthday, which I didn't even get to do because I was freaked out by all of the paparazzi. These false accusations are absurd."
A rep for the Los Angeles Police Department told CNN Wednesday that officers received a radio call last night about a car brushing up against a person in a parking lot, but Lohan was not there when officers arrived.
There was also no evidence of injury to any person, or damage to the vehicle, and because a police report wasn't filed, this isn't an ongoing investigation.
TMZ cites bystanders who claim that the hookah lounge manager wasn't injured. The site adds that he's been to the emergency room and reportedly wants to press charges.
Lohan's rep says in a statement to CNN that the issue should soon be resolved.
"When [Lohan] arrived [at the club], there were so many photographers there that she decided to leave and never even got out of the car," her rep says. "At no point was there ever any indication that her car hit anyone or anything. We are confident this matter will be cleared up in the next few days."
