The Energy Ministry says the load shedding exercise during off-peak periods going on in the country will be over on Monday, November 5, 2012.
What it means is that, users of electricity would no longer have to endure power outages during day time.
This was disclosed by the Energy Ministry at a media briefing in Accra on Friday.
The country had suffered months of erratic power supply following the destruction of parts of the West Africa Gas Pipeline which meant gas could no longer be supplied to some thermal plants to generate electricity.
The erratic power supply in the last few months affected domestic and commercial users of electricity in the country.
Some factories laid off of its workers following the rise in cost of production due largely to the poor supply of power with millions of others complaining about the destruction of their electronic gadgets at home.
But the Energy Minister Dr Oteng Adjei is hopeful that situation will soon be resolved.
Joy News’ Elton John Brobbey who was at the briefing reported the minister as saying they have put together some generating plants to add to the national grid.
From Monday, November 5, 2012 part of the fuel needed to fully integrate the plants will be in country which will help solve the load shedding during off-peak periods.
The full compliment of the fuel will be ready on November 15, 2012, the Minister stated.
