A local business man has been shot dead in Kumasi last night Joy News has learnt.
The deceased said to be Alhaji Salifu Alidu was shot at close range on Friday night in front of his No 11 TUC residence in Kumasi.
He had opened the gate and was about entering his house when he was shot dead by an unknown assailant, Luv FM's Erastus Asare Donkor reported.
It is not clear the motive for the attack.
Police found a bag containing a pistol suspected to be his personal armour and an undisclosed amount of money at the scene of the attack.
Police have ruled out armed robbery and are convinced the deceased was murdered.
They also suspect it may be a case of contract killing. Investigations have begun.
