Luiz Felipe Scolari is reportedly close to joining Angola as the national team's coach.
Scolari, who has coached the likes of Brazil and Portugal in the past, is now ready to take on a challenge in Africa - a continent where he has never worked - according to weekly newspaper Sol.
He has been out of work since being axed by Chelsea in January after only seven months in the job.
Angola are looking for a new coach after sacking Mabi de Almeida last week and are believed to see 'Big Phil' as the ideal choice to take the team back to the big stage.
It is believed that the former Chelsea boss has already agreed terms with the Angolan Football Federation (FAF) and will fly to Luanda in the next days to finalise the deal.
FAF president, Justino Fernandes, told Sol, "I can't comment on that matter in any way. I am not, let's say, in connection with Scolari, so I am not authorised to say anything."
