Former President John Dramani Mahama has donated a bus to the Agona Nsaba Traditional Council in the Central Region.
The presidential aspirant for the National Democratic Congress paid a courtesy call on the Omanhene of Agona Nsaba, Bishop Osaberima Boapong Afriyie II during his campaign tour of the Central Region.
Speaking to the traditional authorities in the region, Mr John Mahama said his donation was a result of a promise made to the Omanhene during an earlier visit.
"When I visited Agona Nsaba sometime ago, Nana put a request for a bus to aid commuting members of the traditional council in running errands before me," he said.
Omanhene of Agona Nsaba, Bishop Osaberima Boapong Afriyie II thanked the former president for his donation and admonished him to stand for peace before, during and after the election.
He added that "the Agona Nsaba Traditional Council is ever ready to welcome and work with any political party that will be in power after this year's election."
Mr. John Mahama introduced the NDC parliamentary candidate for the constituency, Queenstar Pokuah Sawyerr, and urged all to support the NDC come December 7.
According to Mr. Mahama, the next NDC government will continue projects left unattended after his administration and also undertake new initiatives to bring development and growth to the region.
"We shall construct roads that will link Agona Nsaba and Nkawkaw to make issues of transportation simple.
"The Big Push agenda in our manifesto will ensure the provision of potable water, hospitals, electricity and schools to end the double-track system in the education sector," he relayed.
