President John Mahama has directed the Minister of Employment and Labour Relations to meet with workers and management of ADB to resolve the problems facing the bank.
He said it was his belief that the protestations by the workers over the decision of managers of the bank to raise money through an Initial Public Offer have been caused by miscommunication.
Speaking at this year's May Day celebrations in Accra, the president he believes the issues can best be dealt with at a meeting between all the contending parties supervised by the minister, Haruna Iddrisu.
ADB has been in the news lately following agitation by workers of the publicly-owned bank against decisions of the managers.
Concerns over dwindling fortunes of the Bank have caused the staff of the bank to push for the dissolution of its board.
The workers have also demanded the immediate dismissal of the bank's Managing Director, Stephen Kpordzih.
Another key issue of concern to the workers of the state-owned financial institution is the alleged sale of its landed properties in prime locations such as Airport Residential Area, Roman Ridge, Sakumono, among others.
Also, the workers say plans to sell the bank's current Head Office building known as ADB House - located on the Independence Avenue in Accra - is beyond their comprehension.
Managers of ADB say they have suspended plans to sell the head office.
There were initial reports that head office had been sold for $10 million with the new rented office cost the bank GHC1 million a month.
Managers of the bank had confirmed that they were in the process of sealing a sale agreement with a company which offered the highest bid for the facility.
It has now suspended those plans.
