A group calling itself the Kwame Nkrumah Inspired Citizens Movement is asking President John Mahama to implement the 7-year Development Plan of Ghana's first President.In a statement issued in Accra, the group says the plan holds the key to Ghana's march towards progress and sustainable development.Read the entire statement belowKWAME NKRUMAH INSPIRED CITIZENS MOVEMENT CONGRATULATES PRESIDENT MAHAMAThe Kwame Nkrumah Inspired Citizens Movement wishes to congratulate the President on his winning the December 7, 2012 elections and his subsequent assumption of the High Office of the Land as President of the Republic of Ghana.We wish to convey our heart-felt gratitude to the millions of Ghanaians who went out there to vote to ensure that he became the President.As a nation still battling with a lot of fundamental problems ranging from education, health, food, housing and employment, our wish, as a Movement, is to see a society full of joy where no one has any anxiety about work, food and shelter.For this reason, the Movement is pleading with the President, His Excellency, John Dramani Mahama to revisit the Seven Year Development Plan which Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah commissioned and worked with until he was overthrown in the coup detat of 24th February, 1966.
