President John Mahama will deliver a national address at 9 pm tonight as the country continues to mourn the devastating military helicopter crash that claimed eight lives on Wednesday in the Adansi Akrofuom District of the Ashanti Region.
Earlier today, the Presidency held a solemn wreath-laying ceremony at the Ceremonial Gardens of Jubilee House to honour the victims.

Among the victims were two senior government officials—Defence Minister Dr. Edward Omane Boamah and Environment Minister Dr. Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed.
Also involved in the crash were senior military personnel and party officials.
The emotional tribute marked the beginning of three days of national mourning declared by government in memory of those who perished in the line of duty.
Tonight’s presidential address is expected to reflect the nation’s collective grief and outline the path forward in honour of the fallen.
