Joyce Bawah Mogtari, spokesperson for John Dramani Mahama, assumed to have won the 2024 presidential election, has announced that Mahama will deliver a national address following his official declaration as the winner of the 2024 general elections.
The announcement was made in a press statement issued on Sunday, 8th December, which confirmed that the address will take place at his office.
According to Bawah Mogtari, the address will provide an opportunity for Mahama to outline his vision for the nation and highlight the next steps his administration plans to take.
She emphasised that the President-elect intends to use this platform to promote unity and encourage collective efforts towards national development.
The forthcoming address, she noted, will also allow Mahama to extend his gratitude to Ghanaians for entrusting him with the mandate to lead the country once more.
It is anticipated to signify the beginning of a new chapter in Ghana’s democratic history, centred on reconciliation and progress.
"HE John Dramani Mahama will address the country after his official declaration as winner of the 2024 presidential election by the Electoral Commission."
"Dr Mahamadu Bawumia, NPP presidential candidate, earlier today placed a call, conceding the election to Mr Mahama."
